YIVF #03

Once more House of Natural Fiber/HONF organize “Yogyakarta International Videowork Festival: YIVF #03“, with the theme “BASIC FRAME” it will be held on November 25 - December 15, 2007. In this festival, will includes; 20 days residencies for ten selected artist (5 artists from US, Singapore, UK, Germany, and 5 from different province in Indonesia) and their collaboration or any result will be present at unpredictable public spaces in random place round the city. Other things they going to do are; workshop for public, presentations and discussion in some university. We also invite open ‘call for works‘, so anyone can send their works to us, and we will screen it on 5 different spaces in Yogyakarta.
For open “CALL FOR WORKS“, everyone could send their work with specification:
1. The work must never publish to any other Indonesian festival before,
2. The work must be produce on 2003 - 2007
3. VCD/DVD formatted (we do not accept mpeg,avi, or quicktime format)
4. Duration max 20 min
5. Write your name and title on disc
6. Write your CV and concept in no longer than 3 folio’s pages
7. Deadline is on 10 November 2007 postal stamp
8. Indicate “Basic Frame” on the top left corner of the envelope and send it to:

For this open call for works, we can’t give any compensation for postal cost and we also can’t send back the works after it being used in YIVF #03. We will archive your videoworks and anyone who comes to HONF space could watch it anytime after the festival.
